Novaled Volunteer Day: Working Together for Social Projects
Last week, the Novaled Volunteer Event took place as part of a volunteer day, during which our employees actively supported social projects.
In collaboration with the Children's and Youth Farm Nickern e.V. and the In Gruna leben e.V. association, we were able to make a significant impact and do good together.
Our colleagues actively participated on the grounds of the Children's and Youth Farm Nickern. Two teams took on different tasks. One team worked on a bicycle workshop, sanding and painting wood to prepare it for renovation. The other team focused on paving a terrace and transporting heavy stones with a wheelbarrow. This task was particularly challenging as the stones had to be placed precisely like a puzzle.
After an exhausting workday, the employees were rewarded with a tour of the farm, where they got to know the various offerings and animals. The fantastic view from a historic mill over all of Dresden capped off the experience.
Meanwhile, other colleagues helped in the garden of the "Akazienhof" of the In Gruna leben e.V. association, enhancing it through various tasks. A wooden wall was primed, which will later be creatively designed by children and artists. Additionally, deeply rooted plants were laboriously removed, and a new stage was created by laying large stone slabs.
At the end of the day, everyone was exhausted but very proud of their achievements. The support of the association members was crucial in overcoming all challenges. The collective efforts on that day made a significant impact and served a good cause.
